horticulturist and retired U of I extension educator whose specialty is growing fruits,

fruit trees like apples, peaches, pear, plum, and cherry and small fruits such as
strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, hardy kiwi, and grapes. Learn
about proper techniques, pruning tools, timing of pruning, and how to get the best
production from your plants. Fresh picked fruit adds great health benefits to your
life, and growing your own is fun, educational, and good for your mind and body as
